Please note: if you delete any data manually while signed into iCloud, this will remove the content from your iCloud account and any linked devices.
Go to Settings < Screen Time < Content & Privacy Restrictions < Account Changes < Allow. This lets you make changes to your Apple ID and iCloud settings.
If your iMac is managed by your company or school (through MDM), only the system administrator can change or remove Apple ID settings. You'll need to contact your IT admin for help.
This usually happens when your iMac can’t connect to Apple’s servers. Check your Wi-Fi or internet connection, then try signing out again.
If your iMac is currently syncing or backing up data, you might not be able to sign out straight away. Wait a few minutes or restart your iMac, then try again.
